Accounting Intern – Finance Internship

About the role

Join Santander Consumer Finance in the Netherlands as an Accounting Intern and gain hands‑on experience in a leading consumer finance organisation. You will work in an international, collaborative environment and contribute to real accounting and finance activities from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting and bookkeeping tasks.
• Support invoice processing and payment administration.
• Help prepare monthly financial reports and perform account reconciliations.
• Participate in month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Support audits, compliance checks, and expense administration.
• Prepare Excel‑based reports and financial analyses.
• Contribute to improving internal finance processes.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in an HBO or WO programme in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Proactive attitude with eagerness to learn.
• Good communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
• Team player with a responsible and professional approach.
