Google Cloud Platform Engineer

About the role

Kaizo is looking for a Google Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain the cloud infrastructure that powers our high‑volume SaaS platform. You will work in a fast‑paced startup environment, ensuring our services are scalable, secure, and cost‑effective.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement GCP infrastructure solutions using best‑practice patterns.
• Manage and optimise Kubernetes clusters, Docker containers, and related orchestration tools.
• Build Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and automate deployments via GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate with product, development, and DevOps teams to architect reliable cloud services.
• Monitor system performance, implement observability, and maintain high availability.
• Analyse infrastructure needs, propose improvements, and drive innovative solutions.
• Enforce security standards, IAM policies, network security, and compliance frameworks.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong background in Kubernetes, Docker, and large‑scale container orchestration.
• Hands‑on experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB in production.
• Proficiency in Terraform (or Deployment Manager) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic, logging, and APM solutions.
• Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and cloud cost optimisation.
• BS or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
