About the role

Protolabs is seeking an HR Generalist II to provide comprehensive HR support for a designated location or business unit. The role blends operational excellence with advisory responsibilities, ensuring a consistent, high‑quality employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑to‑end HR services, including contract administration, employee lifecycle changes, and leave of absence management.
• Maintain accurate, compliant employee records and support payroll processing by preparing and validating employee data.
• Partner with payroll providers to meet internal deadlines and control requirements.
• Advise managers on employee relations, performance management, and application of HR policies and employment legislation.
• Support performance management processes and address people‑related challenges to foster a positive work environment.
• Execute HR processes independently while aligning with organizational policies and local regulations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to manage day‑to‑day HR operations with attention to detail and compliance.
• Strong advisory skills to guide managers and employees on HR matters.
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement of HR practices and employee experience.
