MEMS Development & Production Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a MEMS Development & Production Engineer to join a small, agile team in Delft, Netherlands. You will work across the product lifecycle, from clean‑room prototyping to test development, process scaling and supplier coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Prototype MEMS modules in a cleanroom environment and contribute to module design iterations.
• Develop and automate test setups, translating R&D results into scalable production processes.
• Oversee module assembly, supplier coordination and lab equipment maintenance.
• Support yield improvement, root‑cause analysis and quality documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Physics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or related field.
• Experience with MEMS, cleanroom processes and testing.
• Strong analytical and collaboration skills; fluent in English (Dutch a plus).
• Comfortable working in a flexible, evolving environment.
