Plan Approval Surveyor (Stability)

About the role

As a Plan Approval Surveyor Stability, you are responsible for reviewing and approving stability-related documentation and calculations of marine constructions and equipment. You work within the framework of Bureau Veritas Rules & Regulations, international statutory requirements and internal procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve stability calculations, stability booklets and related drawings
• Verify compliance with class rules, statutory and international regulations
• Interact technically with clients, designers and shipyards
• Identify and follow‑up non‑conformities and corrective actions
• Prepare clear, accurate and timely technical reports
• Participate in knowledge sharing within the team
• Contribute to technical meetings, workshops and design reviews
• Work in accordance with the BV Quality System, Code of Ethics and safety policies

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or equivalent
• At least five years of relevant experience in marine, offshore, engineering or classification
• Strong interest in stability and regulatory frameworks
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Fluency in English (local language is a plus)
• Solid PC skills
• Experience with MS Access databases or other planning tools is an advantage
