Senior Freight Forwarder

About the role

As a Senior Freight Forwarder you will oversee the full international ocean freight process, acting as the pivotal link between internal teams and external partners. Based in Breda, you will drive operational excellence while supporting a team of five full‑time employees.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate international deep‑sea (cross‑trade) shipments.
• Maintain and negotiate relationships with shipping lines, forwarders, and suppliers.
• Book shipments and ensure follow‑up through to final delivery.
• Manage and verify export documentation such as bills of lading, letters of credit, and Incoterms.
• Analyze rates and optimise transport flows.
• Report insights to purchasing and sales teams.
• Lead and support a team of five FT employees.
• Drive and implement improvements in operational processes.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in deep‑sea freight forwarding, ready for the next step.
• Strong operational and commercial mindset.
• Experience in an international trading environment is a plus.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
• Proactive, assertive, and strong communicator.
• Organised, responsible and solution‑oriented.
• Comfortable working in an international, multi‑time‑zone environment.
