Head of Customer Insights, Europe

About the role

As the Head of Customer Insights for Europe, you will elevate both Adyen’s voice and that of its merchants across the payments ecosystem. The role sits at the intersection of deep customer research, industry influence, and executive thought leadership, shaping the future of commerce in Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Drive thought leadership and brand amplification by creating high‑impact content, leading executive conference speaking strategy, and partnering with Marketing, PR and Communications to maximise Adyen’s visibility across Europe.
• Represent Adyen in industry and regulatory forums, confidently debate European payment trends, card network rules and frameworks such as PSD3, open banking and instant payments, and influence partners, card networks and regulators.
• Design, launch and steward the European Customer Advisory Board and merchant feedback communities, integrating real‑time insights into product innovation and commercial strategies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in payments, acquiring or merchant fintech with deep industry knowledge.
• Ability to confidently discuss European payment trends, card network rules and regulatory frameworks (e.g., PSD3, open banking, instant payments).
• Proven public speaker with a track record of keynotes, panels or executive moderation at industry events.
• Demonstrated capability to shape product strategy and business decisions through customer research and market feedback.
• Executive presence with experience building and scaling Customer Advisory Boards and influencing C‑suite stakeholders.
• Experience representing a company in industry forums and influencing external stakeholders such as regulators and card networks.
• Strong cross‑functional leadership skills in a global, matrixed organization.
• Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with exceptional storytelling abilities.
