Vice President of Technology

About the role

Fastned is seeking a Vice President of Technology to join its Executive Team in Amsterdam. This senior leader will own the end‑to‑end technology stack that powers Fastned’s fast‑charging network across Europe, driving innovation, scalability, and a best‑in‑class customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technology strategy for both digital products and station infrastructure.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of 70+ engineers, product managers, and designers across three domains.
• Own the core Digital Systems, including the Charging Station Management System (Revolt), customer app, payments, roaming, and API integrations.
• Steer the Energy & Infrastructure roadmap, covering charger hardware, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and firmware development.
• Implement a make‑or‑buy framework to focus product and engineering efforts on differentiating capabilities.
• Collaborate with the Executive Team to align technology initiatives with business growth targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large technology organizations in a fast‑moving, high‑impact environment.
• Strong track record of building and scaling complex software and hardware systems.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends and make early technology bets.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of influencing at the executive level.
