AI Solution Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an AI Solution Engineer to join Metyis’ Data & Analytics team in Amsterdam. You will work on the full AI stack, from data foundations to LLM‑driven applications, helping clients turn AI concepts into real business value.

Key responsibilities

• Support development, testing and continuous improvement of AI solutions throughout their lifecycle, from prototype to production.
• Collaborate with central and local data teams to prepare and maintain data sources, knowledge bases and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Implement and test prompts, context strategies and other techniques to enhance AI application performance and reliability.
• Translate business requirements into practical AI use cases and workflows together with senior team members.
• Research, experiment and share findings on new AI models, tools and frameworks.
• Contribute to the development and testing of AI agents and orchestration workflows under guidance.
• Document solutions, methodologies, prompts and experiments to promote knowledge sharing.
• Monitor AI solutions, identify issues and drive improvements based on feedback.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of professional experience in software development or AI‑related projects.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand and translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

Required skills

• Experience with AI/ML concepts, large language models (LLMs) and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Familiarity with data preparation, knowledge‑base creation and prompt engineering.
