Associate Indirect Tax – Public Interest Entities (PIE)

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Indirect Tax specialist to join our Public Interest Entities (PIE) team in Amsterdam. You will work with multinational clients across sectors such as retail, technology, energy and commodities, helping them navigate complex VAT regulations in multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and resolve intricate VAT issues for international clients operating in various countries.
• Provide practical advice on VAT compliance, considering the impact on ERP systems and supply chains.
• Draft objections and appeals, and liaise with local tax authorities and PwC colleagues abroad.
• Support data‑analysis activities and use technology to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with colleagues in transfer pricing, corporate tax and other tax areas.
