Duty Manager Internship in Amsterdam

About the role

Join the Courtyard Amsterdam team as a Duty Manager Intern and gain hands‑on experience in hotel operations. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and Hotel Manager, supporting multiple departments and ensuring guest satisfaction during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a brand ambassador, assisting various departments during peak times.
• Handle guest complaints, resolve issues, and maintain high satisfaction levels.
• Conduct quality control checks of rooms and suites.
• Identify VIP guests and communicate their status to the team.
• Respond to and analyse online guest feedback, implementing improvements.
• Perform safety rounds and ensure security throughout the property.
• Support the Operations and Hotel Managers in daily tasks and represent management when absent.
• Organise and attend management meetings.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, service‑minded, and detail‑oriented.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Creative problem‑solver who can handle stress and pressure.
• Previous experience in hotel operations, preferably front‑office or F&B.
• Comfortable using technology and hotel systems.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Opera (PMS) is a plus.
