Duty Supervisor – Airport Operations

About the role

As a Duty Supervisor you will lead the day‑to‑day airport operations in Amsterdam, ensuring safety, security, and service standards are met while coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise airport operations on shift, overseeing team and service provider performance.
• Ensure compliance with local authority requirements, arrival/departure documentation and reporting.
• Make operational decisions to mitigate safety and security risks, and report occurrences according to company procedures.
• Oversee passenger and aircraft handling, adhering to checklists, brand standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage VIP/MAAS, PRM and special guest requirements, including assessment, planning and coordination.
• Coordinate with Guest Control, Network Control and SOC to recover from disruptions.
• Deliver and rehearse emergency response, disruption, diversion and business continuity plans.
• Monitor on‑time performance, ancillary sales promotion and customer service KPIs.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education (A‑level or equivalent) or relevant industry experience.
• 5‑7 years of experience in service, hospitality, airline or retail environments, with aviation knowledge.
• Previous supervisory role in a high‑pressure, multicultural shift environment.
• Strong communication, leadership and guest‑centric focus while maintaining safety and security standards.
