Engineering Manager - Data Delivery Platform

About the role

Adyen is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Data Delivery Platform team in Amsterdam. The team owns the mechanics of data delivery to merchants, including file generation, reporting frameworks, and reconciliation experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and coach engineers, manage hiring, headcount, and talent development while handling team dynamics.
• Lead an experimental, forward‑thinking team to build scalable, robust solutions for millions of global merchant interactions.
• Set architectural standards for merchant‑facing UI and configuration platforms, driving research into modern technologies and best practices.
• Partner with Product and Design to deliver high‑impact features such as financial reconciliation interfaces.
• Raise software quality, reliability, testing, and production monitoring standards, and manage technical debt.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams, including mentorship, performance coaching, and conflict resolution.
• 7+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience, preferably with backend/frontend frameworks and large‑scale system architecture.
• Proven ability to translate complex product needs into clear engineering roadmaps.
• Strong focus on code quality, performance, and documentation.
