Python Software Engineer – Knowledge Infrastructure

About the role

Adyen is building the next generation of its knowledge platform that transforms static documentation into structured, queryable knowledge. As a Python Software Engineer on the Documentation Tooling Team, you will design and operate serverless pipelines, graph schemas, and APIs that power reliable, contextual information for customers, developers, and AI agents.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and orchestrate AWS serverless pipelines to ingest content from headless CMS and Git repositories.
• Define graph schemas, ontologies, and write optimized, idempotent Cypher queries for Neo4j.
• Build high‑performance retrieval APIs for developer environments and AI agents.
• Implement automated controls to detect documentation drift and ensure platform integrity.
• Collaborate with technical writers, product managers, engineering, and cloud teams to deliver secure, resilient infrastructure.
• Contribute to engineering excellence through code reviews and mentorship.

Required profile

• Strong production experience with Python.
• Proficiency in AWS Step Functions and AWS Lambda for serverless orchestration.
• Hands‑on experience with Neo4j and the Cypher query language.
• Background building robust ETL pipelines that transform unstructured content into graph databases.
• Experience designing performant APIs for complex retrieval.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Pulumi and collaboration with teams managing Amazon EKS/Kubernetes.
