RF Test Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

As an RF Test Infrastructure Engineer you will bridge QuantWare’s R&D innovations with reliable, hyper‑scaled hardware. This highly autonomous, hands‑on lab position involves designing, building, and commissioning room‑temperature and cryogenic measurement infrastructure to validate high‑density quantum processors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute RF and DC test campaigns for VIO™ devices and test vehicles, verifying performance against specifications.
• Bring up, install, operate, and maintain room‑temperature and cryogenic measurement setups, scaling them as R&D needs grow.
• Diagnose test failures, trace root causes, and feed findings back into device and process improvements.
• Document setups and track process parameters across R&D cycles to build a reusable knowledge base.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary R&D team to align test efforts with development priorities.
• Own validation end‑to‑end, from setup and sample integration through execution, analysis, reporting, and recommendations.
• Lead initiatives to improve test repeatability, measurement standards, and validation scalability.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, applied physics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in test, validation, or characterisation of deep‑tech or low‑volume hardware.
• Hands‑on experience with RF and/or DC measurement methods and instrumentation such as VNAs and SMUs.
• Direct experience with high‑density interconnects, switching matrices, and RF link‑budget analysis (insertion loss, return loss, crosstalk).
• Proficiency in Python and data analysis/visualisation for experiments and control electronics.
