Senior Consultant Internal Control

About the role

EY is hiring a Senior Consultant Internal Control within its Risk Consulting team, which advises clients in the private, public and financial sectors on strategy, organisation and risk management. The role focuses on internal control for financial and non-financial clients and is based in the Amsterdam office on the Zuidas.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out work on internal controls, including SOX
• Advise clients on risk and control issues and provide substantive input
• Analyse processes, identify risks and define control measures
• Design and run test strategies, including data analysis, to assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls
• Support internal control projects, including scoping, execution and reporting with stakeholders
• Contribute to project delivery, progress monitoring and quality assurance
• Lead parts of projects and coach junior team members
• Build client relationships, support proposals and solutions, and contribute to multidisciplinary projects

Required profile

• Completed master's degree, preferably in finance, accounting, economics, business, IT audit/control or law
• At least 3 years of experience in risk management, internal control, audit and/or SOX implementation and testing
• Proven ability to deliver independently and lead parts of projects
• Fluent Dutch is a hard requirement; good spoken and written English
• Strong analytical skills, stakeholder management and coaching abilities

Required skills

• Experience with tools and frameworks such as COSO and data-analysis tools is a plus
