Treasury Analyst - EMEA Cash Management

About the role

ABB is expanding its EMEA Cash Management Center of Expertise in Rotterdam and is looking for a Treasury Analyst to join the team. The role manages the cash management operations of all European, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEA) entities, reporting to the Treasury Manager and the Operations Manager of the EMEA Center of Expertise. It is a high-visibility, high-impact position serving all ABB divisions through best-in-class cash management structures, including the global In-House bank.

Key responsibilities

• Liquidity and funding management: set adequate liquidity levels per country, ensure timely payment cycles, cover the liquidity needs of all EMEA entities and restricted countries and non-pooled bank accounts, and adapt short-term financing strategies.
• In-House Bank operations: manage payments, collections and receipts on behalf of ABB entities, oversee cash pool management and investment dispositions, and steer fund flows through the In-House Bank.
• Optimize the In-House Bank framework, including cash allocation rules, interest rates and entity participation.
• Execute high-value transactions such as M&A closings, shareholder dividends and capital injections, and manage the liquidity of the global share buyback program.
• Oversee groupwide netting and cashless settlements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking or Accounting.
• One to two years of treasury experience, including currency exposure management, cash management, risk management and financial analysis.
• Background in cash and liquidity operations such as cash pools, in-house banks and inter-company netting.
• Fluent English; other languages are a plus.
