Senior Data & AI Platform Engineer

About the role

OrderYOYO is looking for a Senior Data & AI Platform Engineer to own and evolve its modern data platform during a critical scaling phase. You will lead the migration to a governed Microsoft Fabric environment, ensure reliable BI and semantic models, and apply AI-driven automation to data engineering and analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Microsoft Fabric architecture across lakehouse, warehouse, notebooks, and semantic models with Git‑backed delivery.
• Drive migration from legacy reporting tools to a governed Fabric semantic layer, including testing, stakeholder sign‑off, and decommissioning.
• Own data pipelines (APIs, files, events, operational stores) and establish robust orchestration, monitoring, alerting, and data‑quality checks.
• Leverage AI and automation to accelerate ETL/ELT development, data mapping, documentation, testing, and reporting.
• Create high‑quality Power BI semantic models, DAX measures, and reusable metric definitions for multiple business domains.
• Support CRM and operational data integrations, including reverse‑ETL patterns and monitoring.
• Define data‑engineering standards, code review processes, release discipline, documentation, and runbooks.
• Mentor engineers and analysts, translating business needs into technical solutions.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in modern data warehousing, analytics engineering, or data platform engineering, preferably in SaaS, fintech, payments, e‑commerce or multi‑region B2B2C environments.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse/Databricks with ability to specialize quickly in Fabric.
• Advanced SQL/T‑SQL skills and solid Python or PySpark experience building maintainable ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Extensive Power BI and DAX experience, including semantic modelling, incremental refresh, performance tuning, and governance.
