Senior Process Engineer

About the role

Quantware is building a state‑of‑the‑art fab to manufacture quantum processors. As a Senior Process Engineer you will bridge R&D and operations, turning cutting‑edge research into repeatable, high‑yield processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for incoming process tools, define criteria, execute qualification runs and produce formal reports.
• Own end‑to‑end transfer of at least two process modules (e.g., PVD, CVD, ALD, etching, evaporation, dicing, laser/e‑beam writing) from R&D to the kilofab.
• Develop and run process qualification plans, establish SPC monitoring, and drive DOE for yield improvement.
• Maintain MES recipe lifecycle, ensure data integrity, and support Change Control Board decisions.
• Document SOPs, train technicians, and build deep hardware knowledge of assigned tools.

Required profile

• MSc or PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 5‑7 years of hands‑on cleanroom process engineering in a semiconductor or advanced‑materials fab.
• Experience with at least two core process modules (PVD, CVD, ALD, dry/wet etching, evaporation, dicing, track, laser/e‑beam writing).
• Proven ability to work in a Class 100/ISO 5 cleanroom environment.
• Bonus: experience in superconducting qubit or cryogenic device fabrication.
