Temporary Painter – 4‑Month Contract in Amsterdam

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Painter for a 4‑month full‑time contract at Courtyard by Marriott Amsterdam. The role involves maintaining interior and exterior surfaces to high quality and safety standards, supporting a welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Paint and repaint walls, ceilings, doors, frames and other surfaces in guest rooms, public areas, offices and back‑of‑house areas.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks or holes and applying primers as needed.
• Maintain and repair painted surfaces to ensure a consistently high appearance.
• Work in public areas with minimal disruption to guests and hotel operations.
• Ensure proper use, storage and maintenance of painting tools and materials.
• Follow health and safety regulations and hotel maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team and report any structural or repair issues identified during work.

Required profile

• Reliable and detail‑oriented.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Able to perform tasks with minimal impact on guests and hotel operations.
• Committed to adhering to health and safety standards.

Required skills

• Painting (interior and exterior).
• Surface preparation – cleaning, sanding, filling cracks/holes.
• Application of primers.
• Maintenance of painting tools and materials.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to painting work.
