Trading Settlements Analyst – Rotterdam

About the role

The Trading Settlements Analyst will support our oil and commodities trading desk by ensuring all settlement activities are processed accurately and on time. This is a full‑time, office‑based position in Rotterdam, reporting directly to the CFO.

Key responsibilities

• Process settlements for cargoes, freight, shipping costs, insurance, demurrage, brokerage and other non‑cargo items.
• Review trade contracts and service agreements to confirm settlement terms.
• Validate bank account details and payment amounts with counterparties.
• Raise and post invoices in SAP, manage invoice due dates and monitor AP/AR aging.
• Coordinate with the trading desk and operators to resolve disputes and ensure timely payments.
• Prepare trade‑related data, statistical tables and performance analysis reports.
• Support ad‑hoc tasks assigned by the CFO.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Proven settlement experience in finance, commodities trading or oil & gas.
• Valid work permit for the Netherlands and willingness to work onsite five days a week.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and maintain high accuracy.

Required skills

• Efficient use of SAP (S/4 HANA knowledge is a strong advantage).
• Strong understanding of settlement processes and trade lifecycle.
• Solid knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
