Risk Manager – Equities (Amsterdam)

About the role

DRW is seeking a Risk Manager – Equities to join its Amsterdam office. Reporting to the Head of Equities Risk, the role provides independent oversight of the firm’s equities, ETF, derivatives and crypto businesses, partnering with traders and senior leadership to promote disciplined risk‑taking.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with traders, senior management and the risk team to enhance risk frameworks, controls and tools.
• Monitor trading activity, portfolio exposures and risk concentrations across DRW’s businesses.
• Oversee pre‑trade and real‑time risk controls for electronic and systematic trading.
• Perform stress testing, scenario analysis and monitor options and derivatives exposures.
• Interface with clearing firms, counterparties, exchanges and regulators on risk‑related matters.

Required profile

• 5+ years of market, trading or portfolio risk management experience in a proprietary trading firm, market maker, hedge fund or electronic trading business.
• Experience navigating the EU regulatory framework for investment firms and interacting with European regulators.
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with deep understanding of options, volatility products and derivatives markets.
• Experience overseeing risk for electronic, systematic or market‑making trading businesses, including pre‑trade risk controls.
