Accounting Engineer & Solutions Consultant

About the role

Stacks is seeking an ambitious Accounting Engineer / Solutions Consultant to join its GTM team in Amsterdam (or London). You will own the technical and accounting aspects of the sales and post‑sales journey, working directly with senior finance leaders to translate complex month‑end close workflows into product solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive solutions engineering from discovery and demos through implementation and optimisation.
• Leverage deep accounting knowledge to advise customers on best practices and translate workflows into Stacks’ platform.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success and Engineering to lead technical discovery, deliver demos and run successful POCs.
• Lead onboarding and implementation for new customers, ensuring confidence in the product.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to turn real‑world accounting needs into product features.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience in solutions consulting or technical sales within a SaaS environment.
• Background in accounting, controller work, CPA or similar, with strong knowledge of month‑end close, reconciliations and reporting.
• Comfortable engaging senior finance leaders and technical stakeholders, able to listen, challenge assumptions and earn trust.
• Quick to understand and explain complex systems, turning accounting pain points into clear product solutions.
