Accounting Generalist

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Generalist to join CVI in Eerbeek. The role involves ensuring compliance with accounting standards, supporting financial reporting and managing day‑to‑day accounting operations within a European subsidiary of a US‑based multinational.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX and Dutch GAAP and maintain internal controls.
• Prepare statutory accounts, support external audits and implement financial controls.
• Perform balance‑sheet and account reconciliations, including bank, supplier and cash‑flow reporting.
• Process purchase invoices, manage accounts receivable and monitor DSO.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and the preparation of management reports.
• Coordinate Concur expense management and handle supplier inquiries.
• Maintain bank accounts, cash books and perform other ad‑hoc accounting duties.

Required profile

• Degree or qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBO+/HBO level or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, preferably in a European subsidiary of a US‑based multinational.
• Experience working in a matrix organisation.
• Fluent written and spoken English and residence in the surroundings of Eerbeek.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX and Dutch GAAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
• Familiarity with Concur expense management.
