Asset Management Planning Specialist, BIM

About the role

The Business Implementation Management (BIM) team drives APM Terminals’ growth agenda by supporting terminal expansions, upgrades, and new developments worldwide. As an Asset Management Planning Specialist you will establish and embed maintenance planning standards, strengthen asset reliability, and support operational readiness during ramp‑up, go‑live, and stabilization phases.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and implement maintenance planning and scheduling routines during terminal ramp‑up, go‑live, and stabilization phases.
• Apply APM Terminals maintenance planning standards, CMMS/EAM practices, and processes across deployment projects.
• Develop detailed maintenance work plans and schedules to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable execution of maintenance activities.
• Manage, prioritize, and optimise work orders within CMMS/EAM systems.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure availability of labour, tools, materials, and equipment.
• Support asset reliability through preventive maintenance, inspections, and repair planning.
• Identify planning gaps and implement improvements to enhance equipment availability and operational continuity.
• Coach local maintenance teams to build sustainable planning capabilities and standardise ways of working.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, asset management or a related function within industrial, logistics, manufacturing or terminal operations.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset and leadership qualities focused on customer first, integrity and results.
• Strong analytical, organisational and prioritisation skills with ability to manage competing demands.
• Fluent English; additional languages (Spanish, French, etc.) are a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally (≈50% of the time) for deployment assignments.

Required skills

• Maintenance planning principles (preventive maintenance, work‑order management, resource coordination, scheduling).
• Experience with CMMS/EAM systems and maintenance data management.
• Knowledge of asset reliability concepts and their link to planning effectiveness.
