Data Science Lead

About the role

Metyis AG is seeking an experienced Data Science Lead to join its Data & Analytics team in Amsterdam. You will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with senior client stakeholders and guiding a multidisciplinary team to deliver impactful AI and data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client interactions and nurture long‑term relationships.
• Translate business problems into analytics solutions and oversee project delivery.
• Provide project management oversight and ensure client expectations are met.
• Guide junior team members and coordinate the work of the entire team.

Required profile

• Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (e.g., econometrics, AI, mathematics, physics).
• 5‑7 years of consulting or relevant industry experience, including at least 1 year in a project‑lead role.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to communicate complex concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Professional fluency in English.

Required skills

• SQL, BigQuery, NoSQL databases
• Python and R programming
• Data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI
• Statistical modelling and machine‑learning techniques
