Director of Quality Assurance Operations

About the role

Join the global Animal Health network at MSD as the Director of Quality Assurance Operations in Boxmeer. You will translate global and regional quality priorities into an operational strategy that guarantees compliant, uninterrupted supply of vaccines and pharmaceuticals while driving continuous improvement and digitisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the QA Operations team (5 direct reports, ~100 employees) and align them with the overall quality strategy.
• Design, plan and implement the operational QA strategy, managing the budget and reporting.
• Oversee batch release processes, end‑to‑end batch tracking and ensure robust cross‑site handoffs.
• Monitor KPIs, use metrics for decision‑making and initiate corrective actions.
• Drive improvement initiatives in collaboration with manufacturing, QC and global quality teams.

Required profile

• Academic degree in Pharmacy, Medical Biology, Chemistry, Process Technology or related field.
• 7‑10 years of experience in an international pharmaceutical company with proven leadership of large, complex organisations.
• Strong understanding of GMP, quality systems and manufacturing regulations.
• Experience working with health authorities, audits and inspections.
• Excellent command of English, both oral and written.
