E&L Specialist – Pharmaceutical Packaging Safety

About the role

Join the Global Packaging Technology & Support organization as an Extractables & Leachables (E&L) Specialist. You will assess risks associated with packaging, process contact materials and medical devices to ensure product safety, quality and regulatory compliance for animal health products worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct extractables and leachables risk assessments for packaging, process contact materials and devices.
• Coordinate E&L testing programs, interpret results and prepare technical reports.
• Support commercial product portfolios and R&D projects with E&L expertise.
• Contribute to validation and qualification activities related to packaging changes.
• Assist investigations into quality issues and develop corrective actions.
• Prepare documentation for audits, inspections and regulatory submissions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology or related field.
• Knowledge of extractables and leachables risk assessments or similar analytical challenges.
• Experience in a regulated environment (pharmaceuticals, medical devices, life sciences).
• Strong analytical and scientific problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently within established quality frameworks.
• Excellent written and spoken English and strong communication skills.
