Electrical & Instrumentation Technician (E&I) – Hoogeveen, NL

About the role

You will join a client’s continuous‑production site in Hoogeveen, working on a wide variety of electrical and instrumentation systems. The position offers a dynamic environment where no two days are the same and where you help keep the plant running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and resolve complex faults in power distribution, electric motors, control valves, frequency drives, lighting and related systems.
• Perform flow, pressure, level, pH, dust and temperature measurements, including inspection, repair and calibration of measurement and control equipment.
• Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance on production lines, filling and packaging equipment, and other industrial machines.
• Contribute to improvement projects by spotting opportunities to reduce failures and increase reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and the client to ensure safe and reliable operation of all installations.

Required profile

• Red Seal Trade Certificate as an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant hands‑on experience with electrical and instrumentation installations in an industrial environment.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve faults independently and to perform both preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Motivated attitude with a willingness to develop technical skills on the job.
• Proficiency in English and Afrikaans, with a readiness to learn Dutch.

What we offer

• Salary between €4,357 – €5,000 gross per month, depending on experience.
• Work‑related and relocation costs covered by Employ IR.
• 8.33 % holiday allowance on top of the annual salary.
