Electrical & Instrumentation Technician – Hoogeveen

About the role

You will work on a continuous production site where no two days are the same, maintaining a wide variety of electrical and instrumentation systems. The role focuses on keeping installations and machines running smoothly to ensure stable production.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and resolve complex faults in power distribution, electric motors, control valves, frequency drives, lighting and related systems.
• Perform measurements (flow, pressure, level, pH, dust, temperature) and inspect, repair, and calibrate measurement and control equipment.
• Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance on production lines, filling and packaging equipment, and other industrial machines.
• Participate in improvement projects by spotting opportunities to reduce failures and increase reliability.

Required profile

• Red Seal Trade Certificate as an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant hands‑on experience with electrical and instrumentation installations in an industrial environment.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve faults independently and perform both preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Motivated attitude with a willingness to develop technical skills on the job.
• Proficiency in English and Afrikaans, with readiness to learn Dutch.
