Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

About the role

You will own the maintenance and improvement of electrical and instrumentation systems in a modern manufacturing plant. The focus is on preventing downtime through structured inspections, precise calibrations, and coordinated repairs while supporting small projects and PLC‑related tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance during scheduled stops and breakdowns to maximise equipment reliability.
• Inspect, assess and troubleshoot equipment, identify root causes and resolve defects before they cause downtime.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to complete repairs, restore production and maintain safety.
• Execute modifications and small projects, including preparing sketches, installing and testing PLC hardware, tuning control loops and commissioning systems.
• Document all work, manage materials and parts, and calibrate measurement and control instruments according to procedures.
• Apply high QHSE standards, safe isolation practices and suggest technical or safety improvements.

Required profile

• Red Seal Electrician or Instrumentation Mechanician (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing or process environment.
• Strong fault‑finding ability in electrical, instrumentation and basic mechanical domains.
• Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics and loop diagrams.
• Proactive communicator who documents work clearly and collaborates across disciplines.

Required skills

• Siemens S7/TIA Portal PLC programming and hardware installation.
• Calibration of measurement and control instruments.
• Reading and interpreting P&IDs, electrical schematics and loop diagrams.
• Fault finding in electrical and instrumentation systems.

What we offer

• Base salary between €4,357 – €4,500 gross per month (based on experience).
• 8.33 % holiday allowance on top of the annual salary.
