EU Market Risk Manager

About the role

All Options is seeking a Market Risk Manager to join its Amsterdam team. You will sit at the centre of risk management for a market‑making equity derivatives business, setting trading limits, refining policies and ensuring risk appetite aligns with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily market risk management of the equity derivatives business, engaging directly with traders, clearing banks and trading venues.
• Monitor and investigate risk concentrations, clearing bank requirements, operational incidents, unusual trades and market moves, linking insights to current exposures.
• Operate and improve market and operational risk frameworks, focusing on automated trading strategies and effective incident follow‑up.
• Design, improve and operate market risk frameworks and automated monitoring tools in Python.
• Assess and sign off on new trading strategies and algorithms.
• Develop the risk‑control framework and policies with a strong focus on trading and technology.
• Provide input to optimise capital and liquidity allocation for trading strategies.
• Collaborate with trading teams on stress‑testing assumptions, risk‑reward trade‑offs and capital allocation.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional experience in an equity derivatives trading firm.
• Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as STEM, Statistics, Economics or Finance.
• Hands‑on understanding of equity and derivatives trading.
• Clear understanding of risk factors affecting a market‑maker with a large equity derivatives portfolio.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to design and implement risk‑management frameworks.
• Experience using enterprise AI tooling to increase efficiency and control.
• Independent thinker with strong communication skills.
• Results‑oriented, detail‑focused and committed to continuous improvement.
