Financial Reporting Specialist

About the role

As a Financial Reporting Specialist you will ensure accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting, supporting the professionalisation and growth of the Finance function. You will combine strong technical accounting knowledge with a hands‑on mentality and translate complex reporting requirements into clear, reliable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate the monthly internal management reporting.
• Prepare external IFRS reporting, including the annual report, in cooperation with the Finance team and external auditors.
• Ensure reporting is accurate, complete and delivered on time, and identify opportunities to improve the reporting process.
• Participate in organisational improvement projects, enhancing the internal control framework.
• Support the standardisation and continuous improvement of reporting tools and templates, including Excel and Exact.
• Contribute to the preparation of the annual tax returns.

Required profile

• Completed education as a Chartered Accountant (RA).
• Relevant experience at an audit firm.
• Accurate, structured and hands‑on with an eye for detail and the bigger picture.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate well within a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Currently based in the Netherlands.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with Exact or a comparable ERP/accounting system.
