Global Digital Product Owner, R&D

About the role

JDE Peet's is hiring a Global Digital Product Owner for Research & Development in Utrecht, Netherlands. The role maximises the value of the global portfolio of digital products and applications supporting R&D and acts as the main link between R&D and Digital & Technology. It works with business leaders, users and technology teams to balance innovation, regulatory obligations, lifecycle management and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and maintain the integrated R&D digital product vision and roadmap, aligned with R&D strategy and enterprise priorities.
• Own and prioritise the product portfolio and backlog, deciding on business value, user impact, regulatory requirements, cost, risk and dependencies.
• Work with R&D stakeholders, Business Process Owners, users and delivery teams to turn business needs into product requirements, features and priorities.
• Drive delivery and release planning across agile and hybrid environments, coordinating dependencies and adoption of new capabilities.
• Use metrics, operational insights and user feedback to improve product quality, user experience and portfolio performance.
• Promote continuous improvement through application rationalisation, process harmonisation, data quality, compliance management and innovation.

Required profile

• University degree in business, R&D, science, engineering, information technology or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in product strategy, requirements management, process ownership, product management or technology-enabled business transformation.
• Strong understanding of R&D business processes and digital solutions covering product development, innovation management, quality, laboratory operations and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to turn business objectives and user needs into roadmaps, priorities and measurable outcomes.
• Experience applying product management and agile methods in complex delivery environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills across business and technology functions.
