Head of Clinical Affairs – Personal Health

About the role

As Head of Clinical Affairs – Personal Health at Philips, you will provide clinical and medical thought leadership to shape strategic decisions, product roadmaps and market expansion. You will lead multidisciplinary teams to generate robust clinical evidence and drive innovation across Medical Affairs, Medical Safety and Clinical Affairs.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute clinical research programs in partnership with academic, industry and regulatory stakeholders.
• Lead one or more Clinical Affairs disciplines such as clinical development, medical writing, clinical research and programming.
• Own strategic planning including organizational design, workforce planning, budget stewardship and methodological innovation.
• Provide oversight of evidence generation, interpretation and dissemination, engaging with regulatory bodies and external partners.
• Drive talent strategy, succession planning, performance management and capability building across the function.
• Lead the Annual Operating Plan, ensuring fiscal management and prioritisation of strategic investments.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Life Sciences or equivalent.
• 10+ years progressive experience in Medical Safety, Clinical Development, Medical Writing, Clinical Research and Clinical Operations, preferably in MedTech/consumer health.
• Deep knowledge of human research methodology, global regulations and market requirements in the EU, US and China.
• 6–8 years of people‑leadership experience managing high‑performing teams and complex portfolios.

What we offer

• Base salary €93,049 – €155,081 per year, plus 3 % short‑term incentive.
