Head of IT — Precision Diagnosis

About the role

The Head of IT for Precision Diagnosis is the most senior IT leader embedded in Philips’ largest and most technology‑intensive business unit. Reporting to the Group CIO with a dotted line to the BU CEO, the role owns the end‑to‑end IT strategy, delivery and operations for diagnostic imaging (MR, CT, Ultrasound) and serves as the AI & Data Champion for the unit.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the IT strategy for Precision Diagnosis, aligning with commercial, clinical and Group IT operating models.
• Lead the BU’s participation in the SAP S/4 transformation, overseeing process design, data migration and change management.
• Govern the IT portfolio across Run and Improve initiatives, ensuring disciplined milestone delivery and value realisation.
• Partner with the AI & Data Factory to prioritise and accelerate AI use cases, championing data‑driven decision making and AI‑augmented IT operations.
• Ensure IT delivery complies with FDA, MDR and other regulatory requirements, managing cybersecurity, business continuity and audit remediation.

Required profile

• Proven senior IT leadership experience in a large, technology‑intensive organisation, preferably within health technology or medical imaging.
• Track record of translating clinical and commercial priorities into technology roadmaps and delivering digital transformation programmes.
• Experience managing enterprise platforms such as SAP S/4, Salesforce and Workday, and leading AI/Data initiatives.
• Ability to build and develop high‑performing IT and AI teams, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, MDR) for medical device software and data security.
