ICT Data Analyst – Research Data Management

About the role

The Kids Research Institute Australia is seeking an ICT Data Analyst to support a major enterprise system implementation aligned with its digital, data and business transformation initiatives. The role will ensure organisational data is accurate, trusted, accessible and fit for purpose, working closely with researchers, business stakeholders and technology partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop data capture, storage and analysis workflows for a new research management platform.
• Identify data sources, define structures and create mapping specifications and transformation logic from legacy systems.
• Detect duplicates and inconsistencies, leading data cleansing and standardisation activities with subject‑matter experts.
• Develop and deliver reports, dashboards and visualisations to communicate data insights.
• Collaborate with implementation partners, software vendors and business stakeholders to support successful technology delivery.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management or Business Analytics.
• Strong data management, analysis and problem‑solving abilities with experience handling large, complex datasets.
• Proven experience in data migration, data mapping, data cleansing, validation and reconciliation activities.
• Ability to develop and maintain data dictionaries, mapping specifications and business rules documentation.
• Effective communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

What we offer

• Part‑time (0.5 FTE) to full‑time role on an 18‑month fixed‑term contract.
