Impact Manager (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Commonland is seeking an Impact Manager to cover a six‑month maternity leave. You will join the Policy & Impact team to build evidence, support learning, and influence funders and policy across holistic landscape restoration projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the internal impact reporting cycle, including data collection, analysis, writing and reflection across clusters and landscapes.
• Contribute to funder reporting and improve overall impact reporting processes.
• Develop and align the monitoring, evaluation & learning (MEL) approach for Commonland’s leadership labs in collaboration with the learning team.
• Support the research agenda by creating case studies and linking MEL insights to the broader evidence base.
• Map and improve impact data flows, simplifying ownership and reporting streams.
• Provide MEL support to partners as needed, in discussion with the team lead.

Required profile

• Strong analytical skills to deconstruct complex information and make evidence‑based decisions.
• Excellent communication ability to translate complex evidence for partners and funders.
• Collaborative mindset, working effectively across boundaries and co‑creating solutions.
• Project‑management experience, balancing scope, resources, timelines and risks.
• Ability to articulate a clear purpose that aligns individual and collective motivations.
