Improvement Officer – New Pharmaceutical Facility Start‑up

About the role

You will join MSD’s Animal Health site in Boxmeer to help launch a brand‑new, digital pharmaceutical facility. The position combines process expertise with continuous improvement, ensuring the plant operates at the highest level from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize processes, deliver training and lead technical improvements such as automation updates.
• Support implementation of new equipment, production systems (MES/EBR, OEE+, RTMS, MDH) and product transfers.
• Maintain production data in SAP, prepare change controls, and perform root‑cause analyses.
• Collaborate with Maintenance & Reliability on maintenance improvements and act as the go‑to expert for process software.

Required profile

• Minimum HBO (Bachelor) degree and at least 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical, chemical or food manufacturing.
• Hands‑on knowledge of GMP, Lean/Six Sigma and production automation.
• Strong communication skills, proactive problem‑solving, and fluency in Dutch or English.
