IP Legal Counsel

About the role

Nebius is seeking an IP Legal Counsel to join its IP & IT Law team. You will work closely with engineers, product managers and external counsel to protect the company’s intellectual property and ensure compliance with software licensing requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and draft license, SaaS and corporate software agreements.
• Collaborate with local and commercial lawyers on IP terms in service and sales contracts.
• Manage IP outsourcing agreements with designers, photographers and software developers.
• Provide legal analysis on a wide range of IP‑related issues, including trademark matters.
• Handle open‑source compliance, from license analysis to implementation guidance.
• Address ad‑hoc IP challenges and support strategic business decisions.

Required profile

• Law degree from a top‑tier university in the EU or the US.
• Minimum three years of post‑graduate experience in a law firm or technology company.
• Strong contract drafting, legal writing and negotiation abilities.
• Proven experience with IP transactions such as software development commissioning, technology licensing and trademark issues.

Required skills

• Expertise in intellectual property and IT law.
