Junior Buyer – Procurement

About the role

Destinus develops AI-driven autonomous flight systems and advanced turbine engines for supersonic and hypersonic applications. As a Junior Buyer you act as the transactional engine of the procurement team, executing the day-to-day purchasing process with speed, accuracy and compliance. You convert approved purchase requisitions into purchase orders and ensure goods and services arrive on time.

Key responsibilities

• Process approved purchase requisitions and MRP proposals into accurate Purchase Orders (POs) in MS Dynamics, in line with negotiated contracts and terms.
• Obtain timely PO confirmations from suppliers and keep accurate data in the ERP system.
• Monitor open orders, track deliveries against need dates and proactively expedite orders when needed.
• Act as first point of contact for suppliers on routine matters such as delivery schedules, quantities and shipping documents.
• Resolve basic issues such as invoice discrepancies (matching PO, receipt and invoice), minor delivery delays and documentation queries, and escalate complex or recurring issues to the Procurement Specialist.

Required profile

• Degree in a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing.
• Fluent English.
• Detail-oriented, organized and able to follow instructions from the Procurement Country lead.

Required skills

• High proficiency and accuracy with ERP systems; MS Dynamics is essential.
• Good communication skills.
