Junior Full Stack Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team in Amsterdam. The role focuses on building and maintaining applications using Java and Spring Boot on the backend and React.js on the frontend, with a strong emphasis on backend capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑quality applications using Java, Spring Boot and React.js.
• Write clean, readable, reusable and maintainable code following SOLID, DRY and design‑pattern best practices.
• Create unit and integration tests and contribute to overall application quality.
• Monitor application health, support deployment and production operations, and respond to incidents.
• Participate in technical and architectural discussions, evaluate solutions and document runbooks.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of professional software development experience.
• Commercial experience with Java and hands‑on work with Spring Boot.
• Experience with React.js for frontend development.
• Good understanding of software engineering fundamentals, SOLID, DRY and common design patterns.
• Knowledge of software testing principles and ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• Analytical and problem‑solving mindset with good communication and teamwork skills.
