Junior Project Procurement Manager - Graduate Program

About the role

Huawei Europe is looking for a Junior Project Procurement Manager within its Multi-Country Management department in Rijswijk, The Netherlands. The role is part of the company's Fresh Graduate Program and is full-time and onsite. Candidates must already be eligible to live and work in the Netherlands and not need visa sponsorship.

Key responsibilities

• Support the management of procurement activities, costs and resources for assigned projects, taking ownership of specific tasks, monitoring progress and proposing solutions to risks.
• Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies and independently coordinate supplier qualification, supplier selection, price negotiations and contract preparation.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, contribute to the supplier database and support communication with key supplier stakeholders.
• Coordinate day-to-day supplier management, including performance monitoring, evaluations and follow-up on corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (WO) or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Procurement, International Business, Business Administration, Commercial Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management or a related field.
• Chinese speaking is a strong advantage; Dutch speaking is an advantage.
• Previous experience through internships, working student positions or entry-level roles in procurement, supply chain, sourcing or supplier management is an advantage.
• An interest in telecommunications, logistics, civil engineering or renewable energy is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001 is an advantage but not required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with strong analytical skills and an interest in cost analysis, budgeting and procurement processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, independence and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
