Labour Mobility & Social Inclusion Intern

About the role

The Labour Mobility & Social Inclusion Intern will support the operational and administrative work of IOM’s Labour Mobility, Social Inclusion and Resettlement Unit in the Netherlands. Working under the Chief of Mission and the Senior Project Assistant, the intern will contribute to family reunification and resettlement projects while gaining insight into migration policy and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of the policy and operational context of resettlement and family reunification in the Netherlands, including the role of IOM, Dutch authorities, partner organisations and other stakeholders.
• Support the project team in implementing family reunification and resettlement activities, including project coordination, stakeholder follow‑up and preparation of project‑related documentation.

Required profile

• Degree or current studies in International Relations, Political Science, Migration Studies, European Studies, Law, Sociology, Public Administration or a related discipline; enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor programme, a graduate programme, or a recent graduate (within 12 months).
• Experience with writing project proposals, fundraising, or work in an international organisation/NGO is an advantage; demonstrated interest in migration issues.
• Fluency in Dutch and English; additional UN language considered an asset.
