Legal Commercial Counsel – EMEA

About the role

Axon is seeking a Legal Commercial Counsel to join its contracts and corporate team in Amsterdam. The role supports the global sales organization, structures and negotiates complex transactions, and helps build scalable legal processes for a fast‑growing business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and negotiate contracts for the sale of Axon’s hardware, services and SaaS solutions across EMEA and, as needed, other regions.
• Supervise Contracts Managers, maintain risk‑approval frameworks, and manage the knowledge bank and playbooks.
• Develop and maintain template contract language, risk analyses, policies, and support the contract lifecycle management system.
• Offer additional legal guidance on regulatory compliance, industry standards, and other operational matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience (in‑house preferred) negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts.
• J.D. and membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar or authorization to practice in the UK or EU.
• Ability to travel up to 15 % of the time and work onsite four days a week.
• Strong understanding of procurement laws in the UK and EU, especially the Netherlands.

Required skills

• Experience drafting and negotiating high‑volume SaaS, hardware, and services agreements.
• Familiarity with contract lifecycle tools such as Salesforce, CLM platforms, Microsoft Office, and Generative AI applications.
