Managing Director – Netherlands

About the role

As Managing Director of EOS Netherlands you will shape the local organisation, build on existing non‑performing loan (NPL) investments and drive sustainable growth. Reporting directly to the EOS Group Board, you will set the strategic agenda, allocate capital and oversee performance across unsecured and secured NPL portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a fresh strategic direction and operating model for EOS Netherlands.
• Lead the establishment of the Dutch entity, including team formation, processes and systems.
• Identify, negotiate and manage investment opportunities in the Dutch market.
• Oversee the full deal lifecycle from sourcing to closing and ensure post‑deal performance meets targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, partners and advisors.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and manage risk across all activities.
• Recruit, motivate and develop a high‑performance team.
• Provide decision‑ready insights and recommendations to the EOS Board.
• Drive innovation, digitalisation and identify new growth opportunities.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in NPL investments, distressed debt, real‑estate finance, investment banking or related fields.
• Proven track record of leading transactions and managing portfolios independently.
• Experience building organisations or business units, preferably in a start‑up or market‑entry context.
• Strong academic background in Finance, Economics, Law or Business Administration; MBA, CFA or equivalent is a plus.
• Deep understanding of the Dutch financial market and regulatory landscape.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to inspire and align cross‑functional teams.
• Entrepreneurial drive and analytical thinking for fact‑based decision‑making.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
