Manufacturing Technician

About the role

Carbon Robotics is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join its production team in IJmuiden. The role focuses on assembling, calibrating, and quality‑checking sub‑assembly components for the LaserWeeder™ and other robotic systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical, optical, and electronic sub‑assemblies using hand and power tools, ensuring correct alignment and fastening.
• Calibrate scanning devices, optical components, sensors and fine‑tune them for precise operation.
• Perform functional tests and document any issues for the Manufacturing Supervisor.
• Maintain detailed production logs, checklists and other documentation.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers and designers to meet production targets and resolve technical problems.
• Follow all safety protocols and report hazards.

Required profile

• Secondary education or equivalent; technical education or certifications are a plus.
• Prior experience assembling electronic or mechanical components is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand or sit for extended periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Basic knowledge of optical systems, electronics and sensors.
• Experience calibrating scanning or measurement devices.
