Master Thesis Internship – AI‑Driven Transistor Design Exploration

About the role

Join NXP's Design Enablement global team as a Master student and work at the intersection of semiconductor design, software engineering, and AI. You will develop an AI‑agent to evaluate transistor trade‑offs and support design decisions across NXP design centers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an AI‑agent that uses internal device exploration tools to assess performance, mismatch, area, power, and technology options.
• Learn device optimization, process and design‑space exploration, and operating‑condition checks for transistor‑level decisions.
• Collaborate with NXP teams to establish efficient, best‑in‑class methodologies for global design centers.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Master’s degree in Electronics, Artificial Intelligence or related fields.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset with ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Python programming
• ML libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, pyQT
• Linux development environment
• Version control and issue tracking tools (Git, Jira) – nice to have
