Principal Radar Systems Expert – Signal, RF & Embedded

About the role

Robin Radar is a fast‑growing leader in high‑stakes small‑object tracking, protecting aviation, wind farms and critical infrastructure from bird strikes and drone threats. We are seeking a senior engineering talent to push the frontier of FMCW radar technology, from algorithm architecture to hands‑on embedded implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise next‑generation FMCW radar architectures with a focus on signal‑to‑noise maximisation and target classification.
• Lead the development of real‑time processing engines using VHDL and Embedded C++ for ultra‑fast execution on radar hardware.
• Develop advanced radar algorithms that exceed industry performance standards.
• Define RF design parameters and ensure the software stack extracts maximum performance from the hardware.
• Integrate defence‑grade resilience and AI/ML models into the signal‑processing pipeline for automated threat detection.

Required profile

• 10+ years of deep technical experience in the radar/defence industry.
• Expert‑level knowledge in at least two of: Signal Processing, RF Hardware Design, VHDL/Embedded C++, Radar Algorithms.
• Proven track record developing complex radar or electronic‑warfare systems.
• Ability to obtain a defence security clearance and fluency in English for technical discussions and publications.
