Production Operator – Medical Lens Manufacturing

About the role

As a Production Operator at Johnson & Johnson Vision in Groningen, you will work in a sterile environment to manufacture lenses that restore sight for cataract patients worldwide. The role involves precise handling of equipment and strict adherence to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform production operations across multiple phases including turning, milling, surface treatment, and inspection.
• Monitor and adjust machines and processes to ensure product quality and safety.
• Conduct visual and microscopic inspections, recording product and process data.
• Follow GMP and company‑specific quality standards, complying with hygiene and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the team on continuous improvement and problem‑solving.

Required profile

• Fluent in Dutch, both spoken and written.
• Resides in the Groningen area or has own transportation.
• Available full‑time for shift work.
• Minimum MBO level 3 or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in Med‑Tech, Pharma or Food is a plus.
• Possession of a valid VOG (Certificate of Conduct) is mandatory.
